CINCINNATI TEACHER EVALUATION SYSTEM APPEAL PROCESS:


Teachers may appeal their evaluation performance scores by submitting a time stamped written Request for Review to the attention of Brad Dillman, Peer Assistance and Review Facilitator.  This can be submitted to either the Human Resources front desk or by emailing the Request for Review directly to Brad Dillman dillmab@cpsboe.k12.oh.us within 10 working days of receiving their Final Summative Rating report.  The Peer Review Panel shall review the documentation and determine if the evidence supports the scores given by the school

In the next week CPS should be issuing final school budgets, which kicks off the process of filling vacancies, considering transfer requests, and finalizing teaching assignments for the next school year.
Some teachers will be “surplussed” from their current schools. Other teachers may be reassigned as staffs are shuffled to fill positions for the coming school year. In addition, there will be opportunities for teachers to look for new positions in the upcoming “transfer rounds”. CFT/CFOP and CFT-Retirees are concerned about decisions facing the STRS Ohio Board and the impact their decisions will have on the stability of our retirement fund.

It has come to our attention that the STRS Board members will soon make decisions that may impact:

  • the amount of the active teacher contribution to the pension plan (Proposed 3% increase over 3 years)
  • elimination of COLA (cost of living allowance) for ALL STRS retirees, including current members.
  • increasing the final average over 10 years
