CFT CONVENES COVID-19 TASKFORCE, NEEDS YOUR INPUT!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT SELLERS: 

The COVID-19 virus has created an unprecedented safety issue for us who work with children in schools, and it is critical we prepare NOW for a safety if we are to return to in-school instruction in August.

CFT has convened a “CFT COVID-19 Taskforce” that will culminate in an “Our Lives, Our Safety Resolution” that will be delivered to District leadership. It will include CFT’s list of conditions that we deem necessary before teachers and students can safely return to in-school instruction by the start of the 2020-2021 academic year.

We are collecting input from you, our membership, that can be included in this Resolution.

After all, YOU are the experts on what it will take for a safe return to your classrooms and worksites!

We need your input NO LATER than 5pm this Friday, May 1st please! Once we received input the CFT COVID-19 Taskforce Steering Committee will organize all the input into a resolution, and eventually be shared with the CPS District leadership and Board of Education.
